Introduction (Hrannar) Iceland

    So yeah, I'm Hrannar and i'm from Iceland, 22 years and grown sick of being overweight.
    Got myself the Cardio/strength guide from Freeletics Thu. 10. Oct. and started on last monday. Done 4 Seasons so far.
    Also wanted to ask if anyone got any experience starting from scratch?
    haven't really exercised for about 2 years. I've been doing as much of the seasons as possible the first one being Venus which i got 50-20-50, 50-20-50, 30-20-30 and 17-20-30 was thinking if this was a okay way of doing it or are there better ways. I just try and take as many repetition as possible for each of the exercises.
    Anyway good to be here and hope my mind can overcome this :?

    Hey Hrannar,

    first of all, welcome to our forum :smile:
    I myself have no experience starting from scratch, because I've been doing sports my whole life but after reading and writing for almost 4 months in this form I can tell you that it's definitely doable.

    About your question regarding the repetitions: Try to make as many repetitions a possible with a star (I hope you read the guide or watched the videos of the exercises, if not do it and you'll understand what the star is) and if you can't do any more reps switch to the easy form of the exercise.
    I wouldn't shorten the reps I advise you to make longer breaks and then do some more reps. Even if you can only do a few reps in between breaks, do the whole thing and never quit ;)
    I know Freeletics asks for a lot but hang in there, the results such as new personal bests, feeling more active and weight loss will come quick. Many have done it before you like those guys: viewtopic.php?t=2902
    Those are ordinary Joes and Janes from our German speaking section of the forum who have completed the 15 weeks :smile:

    Thanks for the Welcome and glad to be here.

    Venus is the only one so far I haven't been able to finish completely and the other ones I have been able to finish without a "star" it's hard work but I just gotta keep going.
    Started at 133,8kg and allready lost 3kg with 4 sessions and i'm gonna take picture every 3 weeks to see if there is any change :)

    Wow, great progress so far.
    The stars will come over time, but you'll see.
    You can create a diary thread of you like and post your progress. The users in this forum are very supportive and that always boosts my motivation.
    I'm going to write a diary in the English speaking section as well when I begin training with the strength guide. My current cardio and strength diary is in German :mrgreen:
